Meet the Tukwila Team Behind DryMark Restoration Tukwila

We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your subfloor or when a mold count comes back elevated after a slow leak in a Tukwila crawl space. Every person on this page has been background-checked, licensed, and verified before they ever pulled into your driveway. What holds us together isn’t a handbook. It’s The Haven Standard, and the fact that Alicia Brennan still reviews every written scope before a crew starts work.

Our People

Alicia Brennan, Owner

I started DryMark Restoration in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster watching homeowners lose thousands because their restoration company couldn’t produce the documentation their policy required. That’s why every job we run in Tukwila, Renton, or down through Kent ships with a photo record, a drying log with psychrometric data (that’s temperature, relative humidity, and vapor pressure differential, tracked daily), and a written price signed before anyone touches a wall. I still walk the first site on complex losses. My dry humor surfaces when I find a contractor’s “dry” wall reading 19 percent moisture content where it should be 12. I’ll explain what that means, what happens if you paint over it, and why your adjuster will reject the invoice. Then we’ll fix it.

Marcus T., Lead Water Technician

Marcus has been running extraction and drying crews for nine years, with IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician and Applied Structural Drying certifications. He’s the one who decides whether your oak floor in Tukwila’s Allentown neighborhood can be dried in place or needs to come up, and he’ll tell you exactly why before he starts. His specialty is tertiary drying, the final phase where most crews rush out and leave moisture trapped behind baseboards. Marcus checks vapor pressure differentials with a thermo-hygrometer and won’t sign off until the readings match the dry standard for this region’s marine climate. Off the job, he restores vintage motorcycles and applies the same patience to both.

Dana L., Senior Mold Remediation Installer

Dana holds the IICRC Mold Remediation Specialist certification and has completed containment and negative air setup on over 400 residential jobs since 2016. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and understands how Tukwila’s winter groundwater saturation feeds crawl space mold in ways that don’t happen east of the Cascades. Dana’s the technician who notices when a vapor barrier’s been installed with the seams facing wrong, or when a competitor’s “remediation” left dead mold still attached to the joists. She documents every square foot of affected material with photos tied to moisture readings, because she’s seen too many adjusters deny secondary damage claims for lack of evidence. Her human detail: she keeps a running list of every house cat she’s met on the job. Current count is 73.

James K., Service Coordinator

James is the live voice that answers when you call (253) 642-8884 at 2 a.m. because your water heater let go into the garage. He’s been with DryMark Restoration for four years and trained under Alicia’s original dispatch system, no voicemail trees, no “leave a message and we’ll call back tomorrow.” James coordinates crew deployment across our Tukwila service radius, tracks equipment availability from our Dri-Eaz and Phoenix inventory, and prepares the preliminary written scope that Alicia reviews before any work begins. He’s also the one who explains Haven Standard, Clause 1 to first-time callers: the written price arrives before work starts, every time, with no exceptions. James grew up in Federal Way and still lives there with two kids who think his emergency phone is “the loud ring that wakes us up.”

Rosa V., Restoration Apprentice

Rosa joined us in 2023 after completing a construction technology program at South Seattle College and is working toward her IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician certification. She’s currently shadowing Marcus on water losses and Dana on mold jobs, learning to read moisture meters, set up Injectidry floor drying systems, and document photo records to our standards. Rosa’s already developed a sharp eye for material classification, she can tell the difference between Category 2 and Category 3 water damage by the odor profile and the affected surfaces, and she explains what she’s seeing in plain language without the jargon dump. She lives in Tukwila’s Riverton neighborhood and bikes to work when the weather cooperates, which she defines as “not actively pouring.”

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard travels with our crew whether we’re drying a single-family home in Tukwila or coordinating a multi-unit fire restoration across our broader Washington network. Alicia built this system because she saw the documentation gap from the adjuster’s side, and she runs it the same way today. Every technician on this page arrives uniformed, licensed, and insured, with their credentials verifiable on request. Every job produces a written scope signed before work begins, a photo record on every visit, and a drying log with daily psychrometric readings that satisfy IICRC, RIA, and IFA documentation requirements. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is stamped on every contract, not offered as a verbal afterthought. If it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s Haven Standard, Clause 7, and it’s why we’ve restored over 12,000 homes since 2011 with a written price every time.
